Paint Your
MacBook Case

Remove the case from your MacBook completely before doing anything.

Clean with IPA — wipe down every surface to remove oils, dust and residue. Let dry.

Sand lightly with 400 grit in circular motions — just enough to scuff the plastic for adhesion.

Wipe again with IPA to remove all sanding dust. Let fully dry.

Apply masking tape over port cutouts or any edges you want to keep clean.

Put on your N95 mask — spray paint fumes are harsh indoors.

Apply plastic primer in thin, even passes from ~30 cm away. 2–3 light coats.

Wait 10 min between each primer coat. Let the final coat cure for at least 30 minutes.

Shake the Vista matte black can for at least 60 seconds before spraying.

Apply paint in thin, sweeping passes — 2–3 coats, 10 min apart. Don't rush or you'll get drips.

Let the final coat cure for at least 2–3 hours before touching it.

Peel off masking tape carefully while paint is still slightly warm — cleaner edges.

Reattach to MacBook only after paint is fully dry and hard to the touch.
